What is Polychromatic Light Therapy?

Updated: Nov 16, 2020

Simply put, polychromatic refers to the triple light waves used in the low level light therapy systems we provide in our sessions. The InLight Medical unit contains red, near infrared and blue light wave spectrums. Each color's frequency penetrates into the body at different depths for a variety of purposes. The blue spectrum is used primarily at the skin level, the red, a few millimeters deeper, and the near infrared can reach to the muscle and bone levels. The pulsed light waves stimulate your body to begin to repair from the cellular level. As the nitric oxide levels increase from this process, so does blood circulation throughout your body. The variety of results are determined from the combinations of light waves used, the duration the light pads are kept on and your body's unique use of these frequencies.
