Tis the Season for Tales of Terror!
The Equinox that marks the start of fall on September 22ndalso represents a new Story season. The nights start drawing in, the breeze thins, and we automatically start changing our behavior. Given in Arizona fall, and winter can often be the times we start doing more work outside as it’s cooler, this doesn’t deter our ‘in-built’ attraction to huddling around a fire, and where better than in a social circle to listen to and tell stories!
Traditional Storytelling has been uncomfortably stuffed at the back of the garden shed for the best part of eighteen months now given lock down and physical restrictions through covid-19 but finally, after so many have received vaccination, it feels safe to congregate and respectfully enjoy this ancient social practice once again.
To kick start the season ‘Tales of Terror’ will provide an evening of spooky stories and welcome contributions from 16 years and over are welcome to tell, recite, sing, or simply listen. There may even be some pumpkin pie!
Claire Obermarck will host the evening and start the night off with a few good ghostly tales.
