Shamanism has been an integral part of indigenous cultures since ancient times. It is a practice of communing with the Natural World, Mother Earth and the various Helping Spirits of the Lower, Middle and Upper Worlds to bring insight, harmony and balance to the individual and the whole community. The Solstices and Equinoxes offer us powerful portals of creative and transformational energies, and we can harness these through sacred ceremony to facilitate personal, collective and planetary healing.
Tonight’s Winter Solstice Drumming Ceremony begins with a short discussion of the astrological energies of the moment and continues with an invocation of the Sacred Circle, including a song to call in the Helping Spirits for our work together.
