About the Event

FREE COMMUNITY EVENT  Bring your drum!

Shamanism has been an integral part of indigenous cultures since ancient times. It is a practice  of communing with the Natural World, Mother Earth and the various Helping Spirits of the  Lower, Middle and Upper Worlds to bring insight, harmony and balance to the individual  and the whole community. The Solstices and Equinoxes offer us powerful portals of creative  and transformational energies, and we can harness these through sacred ceremony  to facilitate personal, collective and planetary healing.

Tonight’s Winter Solstice Drumming Ceremony begins with a short discussion of the astrological energies  of the moment and continues with an invocation of the Sacred Circle, including a song to call in the Helping  Spirits for our work together. A guided shamanic drumming journey follows to open our Hearts and Minds to the presence and assistance of the Helping Spirits and to receive personal healing and messages.  After sharing our journeys in Sacred Circle, we’ll experience a second drumming journey to call upon  powerful, healing energies to clear, bless and empower all life on the planet.

Jeremy R. Werner, L.Ac., CST has studied shamanic practices with  Ed Aguilar in Rio Rico, Arizona and has attended workshops with Brant  Secunda, Sandra Ingerman, Robert Moss, Brother Phil and don Oscar  Miro-Quesada. He has many years of experience leading meditation  groups, shamanic drumming circles and online international ceremonies.
